In spite of my fears, I was determined to break out of my victim mentality and create a new life. One step was to work on enhancing my outer appearance and developing my own congruent style. As a result, I was greatly surprised to see that others were responding to me in more attentive and respectful ways.
In fact, on one trip back home to visit my family in Kansas City, a longtime friend of my mom's looked at me and said to my mom... "Wow, she's like the “ugly duckling” that turned into the beautiful swan!"
This positive attention resulted in a newfound level of self-confidence, that allowed my inner radiance to shine through. I began to see Morgan Wonderly as others saw me.
